Description:
Millie is a wonderful, smart, silly little girl. She needs a caring, loving, diligent family to care for her. Due to her sight impairment she needs someone who will keep her safe and make her feel secure. She spooks easily when there is commotion or unfamiliar noises.
Millie would do best with a larger male dog who will be patient with her when she bumps into them. Because she can't see well she uses her mouth and nose alot to check things out. She needs a doggy companion who will not take offense to that. She gets along wonderfully with our other foster, a lab mix named Marvin. Marvin is very easy going and laid back so he is very patient with Millie and plays with her.
Millie is very loving and loves to play with toys and spend time with her family. She does not like to be separated from the pack.
She uses a doggy door and is able to make her way around the yard which is approximately 3 acres fenced.
Millie also knows basic commands and is very easily trained...with food ;)
The only reason Millie is looking for a new home is that we have 6 dogs and she does not do well with such a large pack. She needs a quieter environment.
Millie was originally purchased from a breeder and when the owner realized she was partially blind he took her to the vet to be eauthanized. Fortunately there was a kind vet assistant who begged to take Millie home with her and find her a home.
We love Millie very much and there will be a home visit and application process for her adoption as well as an adoption fee.
